Status of Legislation to Ban or Limit the Sale of Novelty and Toylike Lighters
On October 11, 2009, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed a bill to prohibit a person, including a manufacturer, distributor, importer, or retailer, from selling, offering for sale, distributing, or offering for promotion an operable novelty lighter.
