USFA's partnership with the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition will enhance the awareness of the benefits of residential sprinklers by:

Providing increased consumer awareness and education about the life-safety and property protection benefits of fire sprinkler systems.
Increasing builder and developer awareness that residential sprinkler systems increase the value and marketability of homes.
Increasing awareness of the fire service about home fire sprinkler system facts, resources and availability.
Development of a media plan to educate targeted audiences about the benefits of these systems.

Built for Life Program

Through Fire Prevention and Safety Grants from the Department of Homeland Security, HFSC has developed the Built for Life information kit for builders who want to learn more about the design and installation of residential fire sprinkler systems.

The Built for Life free education kit explains:

how a residential fire sprinkler system is designed and installed
how trade-ups can reduce construction costs while providing higher-value homes to builders' customers
how fire sprinklers are an economical way to increase the marketability of new homes and enhance a builder's reputation for quality construction

The kit includes a folder and DVD that detail fire sprinkler design and installation as well as free builder and consumer brochures.
